US Business Visitor Visa | USA work permit, Visa to USA, US Immigration

A USA Business Visitor visa allows an immigrant to temporarily enter the USA in order to facilitate a variety of enterprise based activities, but the foreign national is not approved to engage in actual gainful employment that would earn him or her any financial recompense.

US immigration on a short-term basis through the B1 class, also known as a "Visitor for Business" US visa, enables a candidate to live in the USA for a typical maximum duration of six months; but in many cases the total validity phase of the B1 visa period is between 1 to 10 years in the course of which time the bearer can make multiple visits to the U.S ..

The Visa Waiver Program

The US Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables immigrants of eligible countries to enter the United States for a period of up to ninety days with no visa, if they have a machine-readable passport and a non-refundable return ticket or a ticket to another destination, with the exception of Canada.

Applicants entering the USA through the visa waiver program are under the same restrictions as those entering on a visitor US visa. Currently, thirty six nations around the globe take part in the program.

Since January 12, 2009, all nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries - including the UK - must by law to acquire a travel authorization just prior to travelling to the United States under the VWP.

Travellers can register for authorization online through ESTA, an Internet application administered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by means of a U.S. government web page. All British citizens intending to visit the U.S. in the future are urged to apply without delay. Suitable visitors seeking to visit the United States under the VWP can ask for travel authorization via the ESTA website.

Partner immigration and Dependent Immigration

In America, B1 work permits are not considered to be potential routes to lasting residency or US citizenship. Instead they're particularly designed for temporary visits to fulfil a pre-determined purpose.

Spouses and loved ones cannot acquire a "Dependant Visa" to accompany the principle holder, but they may be able to secure a B2 to do so. In cases where a B2 holder's dependents are applying to join the principle, they have to qualify for and get their own grant.
