How Much Time Do You Need To Spend At Walt Disney World To Have A Great Vacation?
Back in the days when Walt Disney World first opened you could easily enjoy The Magic Kingdom during your week's vacation and still have time for a few days at the beach. Today you'd be lucky to visit all of the Disney parks in six days, let alone visit the beach or the other area attractions like Universal Studios or Sea World.
If you want to make the most of your vacation you need to take some time out for Disney vacation planning.
When deciding to take a vacation in Walt Disney World most people ask when is the best time to visit Disney World? But there is another all important question and that is, how long should we spend in Disney World?
To fully appreciate everything the theme parks have to offer you'll need at least five or six days, and that will require some whirlwind touring. If you prefer to take things a little easier on vacation you're looking at seven to ten days. If you want to see life outside the Walt Disney World Resort add on a couple more. That's not to say that you can't have a great weekend trip; you just need to understand that you will not be able to see or do everything.
The theme parks and the water parks are huge. To explore them to the full you will walk miles each day, and also spend some time waiting in lines for attractions. Try and cram in too much in too little time and you'll end up feeling like Disney World is the crabbiest place on earth rather than the happiest!
So how long should you spend at Disney World?
This is a really difficult question to answer as it all depends on what you want to experience - and how much money you have to spend.
As I said just now - you really need five or six days to experience the majority of what the parks have to offer. If you want to set foot outside the Disney World gates and experience other local attractions you'll need a few days more.
If you are not constrained by money then you can plan your trip based on the amount of vacation time you can take.
For most of us though budget is often the deciding factor so it helps to work out how much you have to spend - and how far it will stretch.

Working out some of these costs will give you a realistic idea of how far your budget will stretch and therefore how long your Disney World vacation can be.
Some of these costs, like airfare might be the same regardless of the length of your stay, while others like lodging and food will vary depending on the length of your trip.
