Travelling abroad on a tourist visa is a great way to visit a country for an extended period of time. However, this travel visa require more work than a passport to obtain and require specific documents during the application process and subsequent approval.

Download the application form for a visa from any website visa application. This is a free form is available in PDF format. The Canadian CIC website offers to download the form.
Fill in each field of the form. Select the language you want to use (French or English) and names of persons to be considered, if more than one visa required (Family Visa). Indicate the type of travel, such as business or personal, and to indicate how long the applicant (s) will remain in Canada.
Gather the required documents including passport photos of type 2, the application fee, recent passport (with at least 6 months of available time remaining before the renewal period), and proof of funds. You'll need to send this information with your visa application.
Wait for an answer regarding your request. In certain circumstances a medical examination may be required. Follow up with each request immediately to expedite the process.
