Canadian Immigration Requirements Of Ielts Score

Good IELTS Score

A leading newspaper columnist who writes on IELTS and answers readers' questions on this subject has recently responded to a question from a Thai student who asked how he could boost his score of IELTS band hastily . The columnist responded that, while having a good IELTS preparation course is necessary, even essential, what was most important was to take a long time to have a solid foundation in the basics of English.

It was not the candidate's answer IELTS wanted to hear.

Like many others in his position, he was a highly qualified professional who was given the opportunity to study abroad by his employer, with the promise of a better, more responsible, better paying job upon his return Thailand with a high degree of a foreign university. But the employer is not willing to give the employee any time to prepare for the exam, and the employee said - reasonably - that it was difficult for him to do his job challenging and prepare for IELTS, which would mean a long drive to IELTS preparation class at the same time. What was he to do?

The columnist, true to its original position, suggested taking a leave of at least two months to be spent exclusively on improving the skills of candidates in English in all areas of the IELTS tests listening, reading, writing and talk. In this context, it was far from a reasonable suggestion. IELTS Some officials were quoted as noting that it takes at least six months of concentrated study in basic English to reveal the band score for a candidate of a half point from its current position. Good IELTS Score
All this comes as a strong reminder that IELTS is more than just an obstacle a day, although it is difficult, on the way a candidate for a degree program graduate. Despite his so-called "sensitive" way to ask the questions in each of the four tasks, IELTS is still considered a reasonable test of English language skills. Moreover, it is considered a good indicator of the scope of a candidate from actual English skills, he or she would need in a study abroad situation. She is not only fair, it is realistic.

In short, there are no shortcuts to success in IELTS, while aid to exam preparation is readily available. The best thing a candidate can do is take time for concentrated study of basic principles in English.

Except that the candidate best thing to do is expose themselves to as much English as possible, especially by listening to radio, television or in movies. This can be done during times that might otherwise be "wasted" at least as far as going to study English. But educators agree that everything a candidate really knows the IELTS vocabulary and grammar of English are important, what matters most to feel a sense of what sounds good to them. More often than not, what seems right to an experienced listener may be right.
