Hundreds of adorned elephants along the Vadakkunnatha Temple are truly a sight to behold for tourists. The festival is during the months of April and May so be sure to go to Kerala on these months.

There are also beaches in Kerala for those who are looking for beaches. The best place to find beaches in Kerala is perhaps in Anathapuri. There are numerous beaches around Anathapuri and one of these beaches is Kovalam, quite arguably Indias most beautiful beach. There is also the beach of Varkala, which is not just a beach, but a pilgrimage center as well.

Munnar is undoubtedly the most magnificent place in the entire region of Kerala. This place is a must-see for tourists. This place was the former summer resort of Indias South British Government. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and plantations. There are also mountains and waterfall that are best suited for hiking.

However, it is not enough for one to simply read about all these places. In fact, there are lots of other interesting places in Kerala that are not mentioned here.
