Canada Study Visa Process

So many options and offers available these daysthe choice becomes even harder, but their is always some basic information that you need to know for a country where you plan to apply for a study visa. Before you Apply - Before you can apply for a study visa you need to accepted by a school, college or university in Canada.
Canada offers a different types of schools and colleges
Primary & SecondarySchools - These are schools that teach upto grade 12. All such schools are regulated by provincial Government
Colleges & Universities & Technical School - These post secondary institutions have their own set of rules regarding admissions and Level of English & French requirement. For more information regarding admissions you can look at the institutions official website.
Private Colleges & Vocation Schools - These schools are not under any provincial regulation,but you need to make sure that you need the educational requirements for that province when you apply for such institutes.
Language Schools - These are schools that teach English and French languages, not regulated by provincial Governments but you need to make sure that you need the educational requirements for that province.
How to apply - The most basic question that gets you confused, whenever you plan to study abroad make sure you plan in advance. If you are going for a Primary or secondary schools you need to plan atleast six months in advance. If you planing for a College or University you need to plan atleast one year in advance. Students you have no gap in the studies in their study are generally prefered but varies between institutions.

How to apply -10 step process
1. Check application processing times
2. Get and complete the application forms
3. Find the visa office where you need to submit your application
4. Collect the documents you need for study permit
5. Check for any provincial guidelines (Quebec)
6. Complete your application form. Additional documents if any Medical Examination , PoliceCertificate
7. Pay theprocessing fees.
8. Check your application.
9. Submit your application.
Post Application - After you have submitted your application you need to track the status of your application.The visa office will review your application to make sure its completed correctly and hadall required documents. In case your application in not correctly filled it will not be processed and will be returned to you. If your application is correct they will review and decide whether you need to appear for an interview. Visa office will inform you about the time and place.
If your application is completed - you will receive a Letter of Introduction confirming your approval. You need to bring this which you need to show to immigration officials when you arrive in Canada.
A Temporary Resident Visa will be provided in case required.
If your application is not approved- visa office will send you a letter explaining why your application has been refused.
An application might be refused for several reasons :
- You have not shown proof that you have enough money to support yourself while studying in Canada
- You have not passed the medical examination if one was required
- You have not satisfied the visa officer that your primary intention in Canada is to study.
- You have not satisfied the visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your period of study
Arriving

Documents you need to enter Canada
- Valid passport or travel document
- Letter of introduction from the visa office that you received when your study permit was approved
- Valid temporary resident visa (if required)
- Copy of the letter of acceptance from the school at which you are permitted to study
- Proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada
- Letter of reference of other documents recommended by the visa office where you applied
