Toronto: A Land of Cultural Diversity
Toronto, the largest Canadian city is the provincial capital of Ontario. It is situated in Southern region of Ontario. This particular province of Canada is the economic capital of the country. Toronto is among the top financial centers of the world. The Globalization and World Cities study group considers Toronto as an alpha world city. This Canadian province has more corporate headquarters than any other cities in the country.
Finance, telecommunications, business services, aerospace, media, film, arts, television, music, production, tourism, transportation, publishing, software production, education, medical research, engineering, and sports industries are the leading economic sectors of Toronto.
Though people of Toronto usually speak English, yet English and French both the languages are used as its official language. Most of the Toronto services are obtainable either in English or French, but you will also find other languages in this Canadian city, such as: Italian, Chinese, Greek, Hindi, Punjabi etc.
The main reason for existing all the other languages apart from English and French in Toronto is the presence of different people from different corners of the world migrating to Toronto with diversified cultural background.
Even though, French is the official language of Toronto, it is not spoken widely in this Canadian city by its residents.

These places usually have dual-language names for street.For instance: Chinatown, Little Italy and Little Portugal etc. There are many small pubs and restaurants in Toronto where you will find different ethnic groups and culture.
Toronto is known for its cultural diversity across the world. The distinction between the people of Canada and the people of United States is that the Canadian people are more friendly and hospitable than Americans.
Moreover, there are also some Italian influences that can be seen in the culture of Toronto, as you will find a lot of Italian residents in this Canadian city who have brought their language and culture with them during their immigration to Toronto. Italian immigrants mostly reside in Little Italy. Chinese influence is also prominent in the city. People from China usually reside in Chinatown.
Apart from all these communities, you will find a lot of people from Portuguese community and they reside in Little Portugal in Toronto. They have also contributed in the unique culture of this Canadian city. The presence of different communities and their cultures have made Toronto a very attractive place to be in where unity in diversity is clearly visible.
